Delicious appam made from a mixture of white rice and coconut milk is one of the most popular breakfasts of God's own country, Kerala. This food is really easy to make, as it needs rice flour and coated dal battered in a wet grinder just like Dosa recipe. It is a white pancake roasted only on one side. It becomes so soft and thin at the edges upon pouring on a hot pan. One can add coconut milk in appam flour for a vegetable-based baking, and it is very healthy. Appam can best pair with Egg curry, Egg roast, Coconut curry, or Chickpeas curry. Appam can be made with or without yeast.
