It is nothing but rice flour and grated coconut steamed in a vertical cylindrical vessel called puttukutti. If you want to try Kerala's style of Puttu, you are at the right place. Making Pudding Flour Mixture

Take 1 cup of pudding flour in a mixing bowl or bowl.

Add a teaspoon of salt or as needed.

Now add 2 cups of water. The amount of water required depends on the quality of the rice flour. So you can add accordingly.

Mix the rice dough well with your hands.

To get a smooth pudding, the ratio of rice flour and water is important. Break all the small lumps in the flour with your fingertips. You can even grind this rice flour mixture in a grinder to break up lumps.

Now pour 2 cups of water into the bottom of the pudding jug.

Place on top of the stove and heat.

First place the perforated disc inside the cylinder bowl. Then add 2 to 3 tablespoons of fresh coconut to the pudding jug and spread evenly.

Then slowly add the pudding flour until it reaches half of the pan.

Add 2 to 3 tablespoons grated coconut again and spread evenly.

Then add the pudding flour again.

Cover the top with 2 to 3 tablespoons of grated coconut and spread evenly. Cover with top lid.

Place the cylinder portion on top of the base, in which the water should boil.

Boil the pudding over medium heat until the steam comes out of the holes in the top of the cylinder pan. Then put out the fire.

Remove the cylinder portion from the pan below and let the pudding inside cool for 3 to 4 minutes.

Then, using a wooden stick or stick, remove the boiled pudding from the inside.

Serve the pudding with peanut curry, veg stew, or potato stew.
